Commonwealth and Glenville Apartments – Brighton, MA
The Commonwealth and Glenville Apartments under the ownership of the Allston Brighton Community Development Corporation (ABCDC) and the Commonville Tenants’ Council.
The rehabilitation includes seventeen buildings covering two city blocks in a historic district of Allston, MA. New roofing, windows, and heating systems were part of the scope, as well as substantial historic masonry restoration and accessibility modifications.
Metro are tasked with installing new fire line services, domestic water connections, new sewer lines and installation of a new storm water recharge system. Careful co-ordination between Metro and the general contractor is at the fore in this project with the units being occupied during the renovation works. This project provides small working spaces, busy pedestrian areas and a very tight schedule to adhere to. Metro is delivering on all aspects of the project thus far. Estimated completion date Fall 2016.
